Jah Jah Books NEW KIDS BOOK - ZUMBI: The Capoeira Freedom Fighter

We are proud to announce the publication of our newest children's picture book, Zumbi! We are launching our gofundme fundraiser to help publish more quality books for our children.

As a writer, it was the stories of our people that inspired me to write Zumbi. It is inspiring to know, that like Harriet Tubman, Zumbi helped to free many enslaved Africans using the Capoeira. The story of Zumbi holds a wonderful legacy that must be shared with the world.

I have always had a love affair for Capoeira. As soon as I became a father, I encouraged a relationship between my children and I with Capoeira. The spirituality, martial art, cultural heritage, exercise and music, excite us and strengthens our family bond.
